The treatment will use a relaxing homemade blend of massage oils. You will be kept warm, comfortable and be made aware of the reasons for each technique used during the treatment. Each treatment will be tailored to the individual specific to your wants and needs.

How it helps you:

  • Maintenance of healthy muscles and joints by preventing hypertonic (tight) muscles and localised muscle spasms.

  • Massage is known to cause relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic and inhibiting the sympathetic nervous system, thereby reducing pain and stress.

  • Muscle stimulation will increase blood flow and tissue fluid exchange, improving the circulation.

  • Physical injuries will be tested and treated using a variety of physical therapy techniques to reduce pain, increase flexibility and the functionality of the injured area.

  • Remedial exercises and advice will be given to enhance the recovery speed of the injury and also help with injury prevention in the future.

  • Massage treatment can be used to relax the muscles that cause ‘hunched’ shoulders or ‘bad back’ creating a more normal posture.

  • By relaxing specific muscles and advising on strength training, the client can improve their stance and walking gait, a very important aspect of posture and efficient movement.

  • By relieving built up tension in muscles and increasing the flexibility it can prevent repetitive strain injuries from occurring.

  • Improve the flexibility of the client, increasing range of motion.

  • Relaxing the muscle and improving it’s tone will allow the muscle to stretch and perform efficiently. Reducing muscle fatigue and preventing injury formation.

  • Physical therapy techniques and manipulation can identify muscle strength and weaknesses. The client is given muscle strengthening advice to improve those areas of weakness improving function and performance.
